An Introduction of Masayoshi Yano in 1993 it is quickly becoming a popular
cultivar. The name translates to “beautiful mountain range”. New leaves come out chartreuse with a red edge and
turn a more green color for summer. Fall color is yellow with a little orange. The best feature of this
plant appear in winter when the bark turns orange - yellow and really stands out, a great addition to a winter garden. It
is a very fast growing vase shaped when young eventually reaching about 12’ tall and 8’ wide in ten years.
