Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii'

Hinoki Cypress Crippsii

Cripsii.jpg

This gracefully sweeping, almost irregular pyramid growing evergreen has fern-like branches that are a neon green on the inside turning to a bright gold tip that is beautiful year round. This is another good anchor tree and a very good specimen plant typically used as focal point or entrance way plant or used for screening.

Native of Japan, it has an excellent zone range (4-8) and a medium grower. Growing usually around 15ft in 20 year. Can be planted in full sun but prefers light shade preferably out of the hot afternoon sun.
