Columnar English Yew Wilmore

Taxus baccata is a conifer that is native to western, central and southern Europe however it may be known as an English yew and sometimes European Yew. The Wilmore variety is a columnar “stove pipe” form that was found in a cemetery in Wilmore Kentucky buy Theodore Klein. A slow grower it is a dense dwarf upright yew that will reach about 3-4’ tall in the first ten years eventually maxing out at about 8-10’ tall with age.
